Here we dive into the details of feed creation and sharing. Before proceeding, it's advisable to check out this introductory article About Content Feeds, if you haven't already done so.

CREATING FEEDS

All users have access to the Total Content feed, i.e. all digital branded content captured and analysed by Contalto. However, the sheer volume of new content published each day can make it hard to find the content that you are interested in. For example, if you want to see recent and historical content for a brand or group of brands, publishers, sectors or content themes, consider creating a feed.

Feeds are based on filters: in effect, a filtered version of the total content feed, and they work like bookmarks, giving you one-click access to a relevant feed of branded content that's always up-to-date.

For more information on filtering, including the use of multi-level filters, view this dedicated guide.

Step 1)

Navigate to the Total Content feed if you're not already there.

Step 2)

Click on the filter icon in the toolbar, then click the ‘Add Filters’ button to display the filter menu.

Step 3)

Choose the type of filter you need from the listed filter types.

With your filter selected (the travel and tourism sector in this example), minimize the filter panel. At this stage, you will notice that the content feed below the filter panel is already displaying the content you are looking for, and the volume count at the top-left of the screen has changed.

Step 4)

In the filter summary panel, click the ‘Save New Feed’ button, then give your feed a name and save this.

Your saved feed will now appear under ‘My Feeds’ in the feed launcher.

You can create and save as many feeds as you like.

Once you have set up relevant feeds for your role and interests, you never need to recreate them, or to repeat the filtering process. They are always accessible via a single click in the feed launcher.

SHARING FEEDS

By default, any feeds that you create are visible only to you. However, it can be useful to share selected feeds with other Contalto users in your organization.

To do this, hover over a feed in the ‘My Feeds’ list, click ‘Settings’

Toggling on the ‘Share feed’ switch moves your feed from the ‘My Feeds’ list to the ‘Organization Feeds’ list, which are accessible by your colleagues.

If your colleagues share feeds, they will appear in the ‘Organization Feeds’ list with their initials before the feed name. You are not able to edit feeds created by other users, but you can always edit your own feeds.
