How to set up and manage notifications (email alerts or scheduled downloads)
! Available to Full account holders only, i.e. not Core accounts !
WHAT?
Notifications let you automatically share Contalto's branded content intelligence with anyone in your team or wider organisation, regardless of whether or not they have a Contalto login.
There are two types of notification:
- Email Alerts
- Scheduled Downloads
EMAIL ALERTS notify recipients of relevant new content added to the Contalto database in the past 24 hours. You may set up any number of alerts - based on competitors, sectors, content themes or, other criteria.
Emails are only triggered if new content that meets your criteria is found overnight, and all active alerts are combined into a single email, received daily, weekly or both, depending on your preference.

Content links are included in email alerts, so recipients can click through to view the publisher-hosted branded content article or video.
Contalto's alerts are an effortless way for all of your colleagues to stay on top of any new content from competitors.
Note: Social posts are not included in Alerts.
SCHEDULED DOWNLOADS are dashboard reports sent to recipients as a link contained in an email. Simply click the link to download the dashboard.
These scheduled downloads may be based on custom or standard dashboards, and flexible scheduling and formatting options are available.

Scheduled weekly or monthly downloads are great for e.g. arming sales teams with branded content data for the sectors they focus on, or the countries and regions they are responsible for.
WHERE?
Notifications and email lists (recipients of alerts or downloads) can be managed from the horizontal Toolbar at the top of the screen.

Click the notifications icon in the toolbar to view and manage notifications and email lists.

Here you can view all your notifications at-a-glance, as well as edit or delete them.
If you don't yet have any notifications, you will be prompted to create one.
HOW?
Set up Email Alerts
First you need to be viewing a content feed…
View this article About Content Feeds if this is new to you.
Then apply your preferred filter or filters to give you the information you or your team are interested in.
With the filter(s) applied, close the filter detail panel…

Next, in the filter summary panel, choose the ‘Set Up Alert’ option…
Finally, choose the desired alert frequency, select the appropriate email list, or add a new one, and then name and save your alert…

Your newly created alert will now be listed in the ‘Manage Notifications’ area (click notifications icon in the top toolbar to view).
Set up Scheduled Downloads
First open a dashboard from the main menu (click any of the icons below the horizontal line in the menu).
Check the dedicated article to learn all about Dashboards.
With the dashboard open, and any additional filters applied, click the ‘Schedule & Share’ button.

Next, choose the optimal frequency, select the data period and format, choose the appropriate mailing list (or add a new one), and finally, name and save your download.…

Your new scheduled download will now be listed in the ‘Manage Notifications’ area (click notifications icon in the top toolbar to view).
